[콜로퀴엄] Limits of Jacobians on singular curves via compact moduli spaces (24/10/4)
학과 정기 콜로퀴엄 관련내용을 아래와 같이 안내 드립니다. 1. 일시 : 2024년 10월 04일(금) 오후 4시~5시 2. 장소 : 아산이학관 526호(권택연 세미나실) 3. 연사 : 한창호 교수님 (고려대 수학과) 4. 제목 : Limits of Jacobians on singular curves via compact moduli spaces 5. 초록 : Algebraic geometry originated in the study of shapes defined by zero sets of polynomials, i.e. algebraic varieties. The geometry of algebraic varieties change as coefficients of the defining polynomials change. From this viewpoint, I will briefly explain a “moduli space”, which parameterizes algebraic varieties of interest. Then I will explain line bundles on an algebraic curve, leading to the Jacobian as a moduli space of line bundles on that curve. Finally, I will address how changing coefficients of defining polynomials on algebraic curves change Jacobians, both locally (per curve) and globally (as moduli spaces).
